New Trees from Our Nursery!

The 15,000 seedlings carefully cultivated in our nursery have now found their permanent home in the ground. In areas once left bare by strong winds, we are restoring life, securing biodiversity, and reclaiming the carbon that was lost.

This marks a significant step in our commitment to sustainability, as we capture carbon not only in our own plantations but also in other key areas.

Approximately 15.000 seedlings from a variety of species have been grown in our nursery. High-quality seeds were collected and placed in nutrient-rich soil, carefully overseen by our professional agronomist and forestry technicians. Their expertise ensured that each seedling is healthy, resilient, and ready for transplantation.

Now, the journey continues as the young trees are planted across different areas with distinct purposes:

  • 10,000 seedlings have been delivered to Marena, Nicaragua’s Ministry of the Environment and Natural Resources. These seedlings will be distributed among local farmers as part of a government-supported planting program. This initiative aims to foster sustainable land use and empower farmers to participate in reforestation efforts beyond the Nicaforest project.

  • 2,000 seedlings have already been planted in our largest plantation, Santa Elena.

  • Another 3,000 seedlings are earmarked to be planted along highways and roads, enhancing both the environment and the air quality of these routes.

These planting efforts are a testament to our commitment to restoring ecosystems and reducing carbon footprints.

By collaborating with local communities, governmental bodies, and developers, we’re not just planting trees—we’re planting resilience, growth, and hope for the future.
